The Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Perspective of a Full-Suite ERP

Plant Maintenance is an integral part of Roadmap full-suite ERP. It is prudently intertwined with all the other modules of the ERP to potentially review, update, budget, stock, and maintain all the enterprise resources to achieve the best Return on Investment (ROI). The solution is meticulously devised to comprehensively cover the lifecycle of the plant, equipment, and facilities right from its commissioning through operations and maintenance till its decommissioning or disposal.

Roadmap ERP is versatile to align with the Asset Management requirements of any industrial workflow in any country. A few of the features readily available in the system are:

1. The Preventive Maintenance schedule ascertains the periodic (mostly daily) maintenance involving cleaning, inspection, oiling, and re-tightening of machines; and retains the healthy condition of equipment, and prevents failure through minimizing deterioration.

2. Predictive Maintenance maximizes the Service Life of the machinery by continuously tracking the periodical inspection/diagnosis assessments of the important components and by triggering notifications whenever there is a need for change or servicing spares.

3. Breakdown maintenance minimizes downtime due to unexpected machine breakdowns by empowering the concerned stakeholders to handle the issue in the easiest and economic manner.

4. The Spares Planning faculty periodically tracks the availability of critical spares and prompts the concerned personnel through timely notifications to ensure a healthy stock of machine spares in the Inventory.

5. The system assigns a unique serial number to each spare, and the vital details of the spare are captured under the same. In the event of a failure, this helps to track the warranty status and date of deployment of any given spare to determine if the failure is premature and if the failed part is still under warranty.

6. Roadmap ERP software is powered to generate MTTR and MTBF analyses which help to measure the average efficiency of equipment and schedule the production process accordingly.

7. The Plant Maintenance module's integration with the Supply Chain automatically triggers Purchase Orders to replenish the critical stock in the Inventory. Further, it grants access to the Supplier Portal, which productively involves the Vendors with the real-time manufacturing process.

8. The linking of the module with Planning and Manufacturing guarantees the generation of accurate MRP1 and MRP2.

9. Automatically generated GL journals for every transaction involving a Fixed Asset and the facility to maintain records of component-specific operational cost of the equipment, guide business stakeholders to make informed budgeting decisions.

10. The software simplifies the complexities involved in depreciating the assets by enabling the maintenance of dual depreciation methods, namely Straight Line depreciation method, for the books; and Written-Down Value depreciation method, for statutory requisites.

11. If expensive spares are replaced or installed to augment the performance of equipment, the value of the spare can be added to the value of the equipment/asset and depreciation initiated appropriately.

12. When the Useful Life of an Asset/Equipment expires and yet is in a functional state, at the time it is sold or scrapped the system acquires its value as profit.

13. The module gives the scope to manage any equipment assembly by hierarchically listing the components as Asset and Sub-Assets.

14. Roadmap EAM faculty extends beyond the machine world to accommodate Human Resources as an integral part of Enterprise Asset and covers the same in the form of HR & Payroll module under the integrated full-suite ERP.

15. Roadmap brings the complete status of the Plant into the palm of the key stakeholders through Dashboards that are designed to represent the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in the form of easily understandable graphic representations.
